18,000. It’s a big number, and it represents the number of children that die each day from starvation. Can you comprehend that? We can't. Sure, life is easier if you don’t think about it—but that doesn’t stop it from happening. It's time to stop ignoring this reality before us. It's time to do something about it.
In February 2010, Eagle Brook is going to partner with a hunger relief organization called Feed My Starving Children and take action.
Our goal is to pack 2 million meals from February 19-28, 2010, to feed starving children all over the world. It's going to take 10,000 volunteers, and $350,000 to cover the cost.
In order to make this happen—we need outside contributors to help us raise half this amount ($175,000). You can play a role by telling your employer or organization all about how they could be a sponsor and help us reach this goal.
This is a great opportunity to serve and get involved in fighting world hunger. And this isn’t going to be an Eagle Brook exclusive event. We are creating an opportunity for the whole community to participate. This is a chance to give back and be thankful for how much we have.
